WirelessPhiladelphia.org The success of projects in cities such as Philidelphia show that the communities and business can successfully come together to benefit the area as a whole. It is also encouraging to see that the earlier we work together to get this done, the better our chances are of getting bigger companies to support the project, such as Cisco Systems, IBM, SAS, HP, Nortel, and many of the other companies who make RTP part of their corporate home. Our vision includes these partners working together with us to produce a service that especially benefits the disadvantaged citizens of Raleigh who would not normally be able to provide themselves with access to the internet, which will only grow as a disadvantage to them as the internet becomes an even greater source for all things related to education. As a non-profit service provider, we hope to be able to manage this need with a subsidized program that allows the average citizen to use the wireless resources, and also gives this targeted group an opportunity to gain access to the network with discounts and vouchers. Please contact us at info@RaleighWifi.org for more information or to discuss our vision. Thanks for your time! |
